Calibre Conversations Live - Interactive workshop and Q&A with children's author Louie Stowell

Join us for an exclusive family afternoon event with children's author Louie Stowell, as part of Calibre Audio's 50th-anniversary celebrations. This special event will take place at the iconic Library of Birmingham in the Rep Theatre on Monday, 21st October at 4:30 PM.

Louie is best known for her Loki series of books. Aimed at readers aged 8 -12 years these wry, witty and very funny diary-style stories are packed with doodles and comic strips about how the frustration trickster god Loki feels at having to live trapped in the body of a weedy eleven-year-old boy. The latest book in the series "Loki: A Bad God's Guide to Making Enemies" came out in September 2024.

Louie loves to have the chance to talk to readers. Our event will feature a 15 minute interview, an interactive audience activity and live Q&A, where Louie will share jokes, insights into her process, and hints about future books! You can be assured that it will be an interactive, fun hour, and may include drawing, writing, dressing up or even dancing! There will be books on sale so you can have the opportunity to meet the author and get your book signed.

Tickets are free for children under 16 years
Adult tickets £5
